Woah! This EX ‘Bigg Boss’ contestant gets summoned by police after her SUICIDE attempt!

And this happened when she was in the house..

The on-going season of Bigg Boss Tamil has been in the news for a long time and has certainly been one of the controversial ones which includes the host of the show, Kamal Haasan being the centre of many of them.

However, amidst all this, actress and contestant Oviya Helen grabbed headlines when she infamously attempted suicide in the house.

Yes! That’s right. And now this instance has landed her in legal trouble. According to reports, the Nazarthpet police have summoned her after a complaint was filed by an advocate who alleged that Oviya attempted suicide in the house.

In a complaint filed by Saravanan, he mentioned that the Vijay TV show aired visuals of Oviya drowning herself in the pool in an attempt to gather TRPs. It also mentioned that this step was apparently taken by the actress as a result of a few activities forced upon her by the show’s host, Kamal Haasan, the producers of the show and Vijay TV.

In response, the Nazarathpet police Inspector Jaichandran said the complaint has been recorded in the Community Social Register (CSR). “We spoke to Oviya’s personal secretary, who denied that she attempted suicide,” the police inspector was quoted as saying to the Hindu.

Meanwhile, the Madras High Court has sought details of the mechanism available under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting for monitoring such issues, as per a Times of India report.

Responding to the PIL filed by Saravanan, the first bench of Chief Justice Indira Banerjee and Justice M Sundar, directed the assistant solicitor general representing the Centre to specify what mechanism is available.

The accuser has called for Bigg Boss Tamil to be stopped immediately on the grounds of protecting Tamil culture. The matter has been posted for next hearing which is scheduled for August 18.
